New Product: Bad Elf GPS for Lightning Connector (BE-GPS-1008)

We are extremely happy to announce the newest addition to our line-up of high-performance GPS receivers: the Bad Elf GPS for Lightning Connector (BE-GPS-1008). 

This plug-in dongle supports both GPS and GLONASS satellites, providing fast lock times and WAAS-quality (2.5m accuracy) location data even in urban canyons or other environments with limited sky visibility.

The new Bad Elf GPS accessory features a sleek new enclosure design, rugged lanyard loop, and internal LED for showing lock status.  Thanks to the new Lightning connector design, the dongle has a very secure latching mechanism and is reversible, allowing you to chose the antenna orientation that is best for your environment.

Officially, the BE-GPS-1008 works with the iPad mini, iPad (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPhone 5.  We expect it to work as-is with all new Lightning-based devices going forward.  Our team will work quickly to complete the necessary testing and paperwork to officially claim compatibility as Apple launches new products (such as the iPad Air going on sale today).

Like our original Bad Elf GPS for Apple's 30-pin dock connector, the new Bad Elf GPS for Lightning accessory requires no configuration and has no batteries to charge.  Keep it on your keychain until you need it -- then simply plug it in, launch your favorite app, and go!  It works with any location-based app in the iTunes App Store.

The accessory ships with a keychain lanyard for safekeeping, and a 1m USB cable for pass-thru charging your Apple device from an Apple-compatible USB power source such as a car charger or portable battery pack.
