Updates: iOS8, iPhone 6/6 Plus, and Pro/Pro+ Firmware
Happy weekend, everyone! We have some quick updates for you.
iOS 8
Just this Thursday iOS 8 went live to the world. We've been testing our app and products with iOS 8 since this summer, so there aren't too many surprises. We did submit an updated version (2.1.2) of the Bad Elf GPS utility app for Apple review last week, and hopefully that will make it thru the review queue soon. Until then, the current app version (2.1.1) is working fine on all devices running iOS 6.0 and higher (including iOS 8).
iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus
Friday morning we stopped by the Apple Store and quickly tested the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus display units with all Bad Elf accessories. We're happy to report that everything seems to work!
In the next few weeks we'll complete the necessary testing and paperwork to be able to claim full compatibility with these new devices. At that point we'll update our website, packaging, and support pages.
Firmware Updates for Bad Elf Lightning Dongle, GPS Pro, and GPS Pro+

Bad Elf GPS Pro+ (BE-GPS-2300): Firmware Version 2.1.20

We have several new features and bug fixes coming for the Bad Elf GPS Pro+ next week, so we'll do another blog post when that firmware update is ready.

Thanks for asking. It turns out that the Bad Elf GPS Pro does not have the required hardware to be able to achieve the USB file export feature of the Bad Elf GPS Pro+. It’s not possible with just a firmware update.
Hi,
Do you think you could provide GPX files export by USB to the Bad Elf GPS pro (ie 2200) in a future firmware update?
Thanks.
