Most fitness regimens include a health dose of running and/or walking. Staying motivated long enough to start realizing the benefits challenges even the most enthusiastic person on some days. Many great apps for your iPod touch or iPhone track your activities and provide encouragement and reinforcement as you make progress towards your fitness goals. Add a Bad Elf GPS for running and walking to your iPod touch and you can track your runs and walks just like iPhones users today. If you already have an iPhone that you use when walking or running, a Bad Elf GPS can still improve your experience. Bad Elf GPS devices use very high quality receivers that do not rely on cell towers and perform much better in urban environments than the basic GPS built into the iPhone.

We collected a list of apps and accessories that enhance your running and walking experience. Suggest other apps or accessories through the feedback link.

When running or walking with your iPhone or iPod touch and your Bad Elf GPS, many people choose an armband to hold their iOS device. This secures the device in a manner less likely to result in a dropped device. If you regularly walk or run with your iPad, please let us know if you have any interesting accessories we should be recommending when using the Bad Elf GPS.

Arm Band Accessories

When evaluating armbands, you want to make sure that the 30-pin dock connector is accessible. Otherwise, you will not be able to connect your Bad Elf GPS while using your armband. Here are a couple of well-reviewed armbands that do not obstruct the dock connector. If you have a favorite armband that works well with your Bad Elf GPS, please let us know and we will get it included on this page.
